I’m Colton Corsetti — husband, father, Marine Corps veteran, and the owner and trainer behind Corsetti K9 here in Broomfield, Colorado.
I spent more than a decade in the Marine Corps, including ten years working with Military Working Dogs as a Handler, Trainer, and Instructor. That experience taught me the value of clear communication, consistency, discipline, trust, and understanding the dog in front of you.
Today, I bring those same principles into a very different environment: homes, neighborhoods, trails, stores, and the everyday lives of the families I work with.
I believe dog training should feel personal and practical, never cold or corporate. I put my name on this business because what you see is what you get: my experience, my values, and me working directly alongside you and your dog.

More Than a Decade With Working Dogs
Dog training does not have one universally required professional credential, which means experience, education, and qualifications can vary dramatically from trainer to trainer. A title like “dog trainer” does not necessarily tell you how someone was educated, how long they have worked with dogs, or what level of responsibility they have actually held.
My education and experience were built over more than a decade of formal military, law enforcement, and professional canine training, along with hands-on work as a Handler, Trainer, Instructor, Chief Trainer, and Assistant Kennel Master.

I was not only responsible for training dogs. I was responsible for developing handlers, evaluating teams, identifying weaknesses, and teaching people how to improve.
That experience shapes how I train today. My job is not just to train your dog. It is to teach you how to understand, communicate with, and maintain that training long after your dog comes home.

My Philosophy
My approach is simple: build clear communication and reliable behavior, then make sure it holds up in real life.
We train where life actually happens — your home, neighborhood, parks, trails, stores, patios, and around the everyday distractions your dog needs to learn to navigate.
I teach dogs and owners how to work together through clear communication, structure, consistency, and mutual respect. The goal is not perfection. It is a dog who understands what is expected and an owner who knows how to confidently lead them.
One of the dogs who shaped that philosophy most was my Military Working Dog partner, FFidelio. We trained together, deployed together, and built the kind of trust that comes from years of working as a team. When my Marine Corps career ended, I was fortunate enough to retire him and bring him home with me.
Those years working beside him helped shape the philosophy that guides Corsetti K9 today: Training Dogs, Leading Families.
